Competition Entry Check

This page will allow you to check that the entrants to a swimming competition being run on Hy-Tek or SPORTSYSTEMS are current members of a Home Country Club.

Hy-Tek.Browse to the UK Competitors List file created from the main menu which is stored in your swmeets folder. This is present in Release 2.0Hd onwards.

This file is created clicking on: > File > Export > UK Competitors List > OK (default options)

SPORTSYSTEMS.Browse to the competing swimmer file 'MCYYmfsw.txt' in the meet 'reports' folder. MC is the meet code, YY are the last two digits of the year).

This file is created clicking on: > Reports > Entries > Competing Swimmers

Create the file as above then click the 'Browse' button below to find the file you wish to check. Select it then click on 'Check it'. It will be compared with the British Swimming Database with the results displayed on your screen. Initially select "Full Reports" to give you a feel of how accurate your data is. Afterwards you may prefer to select "Queries only" to try and remove errors.

Matching is achieved by comparing the Family Name, Given Name and the Full Date of Birth. If there is a match the swimming registration number, fee paying club and ranked club are displayed. Suggestions may be offered. If there are no helpful suggestions you may wish to use the Home County Membership Check to do a more detailed search.
